Different cartridges cut out with a turbo handtool. Can be seen on several pens displayed in these photos.
A simple trial at engraving on brass cartridges (wheat), which I never used. . . oh well.

"Inlay" of fine ground Turquois. Cut out with a turbo, high-speed handpiece. Wood is local spalted pecan.

A "Steelwood" material from BB - two color vine pattern, cut out with turbo handpiece, filled with acrylic-colored epoxy putty (Gapoxio).
My first snake-skin pens - scales are gigantic - snake was nearly 6' in length. Now use smaller snakes - much better at showing scales and colors of the snake.
A purchased CLAY blank set that was then embedded in clear polyester resin and turned.

More "Sculpy"-type clay blanks, embedded in clear PR and then turned.
All three pens made with different foil materials from Hobby-Lobby. Then embedded in clear Polyester Resin and turned.
