Pat Lawson's birthday pen was made by Bill Jackman as a double closed end pen with recessed clip, from some of the parts for an El Grande kit. Materials used were: red dyed maple burl, brass flat stock & casein trim/accent pieces.

Pat's pen blank under construction.
This is Kevin Bergen's birthday pen, a collaboration between Glenn and Rich. Glenn made the cap, Rich the pen. It was to show more wood than others we've seen, and had a new clip. The wood is crosscut spalted hackberry.
A view of the closed pen. The center coupling and nib are from a Gentleman's Pen.

Glenn did an outstanding job of the clip. The idea was developed collaboratively. Glenn went through several prototypes, each one better than the last one.
The grip section is made from the same wood.

This is Lou Metcalf's Birthday pen. It is a collaborative work by Ron McIntire and by Scott Meyer.
The blank was prepped by Ron McIntire and the pen was completed by Scott Meyer.
