This is my latest pen that contains no kit parts. The brass pieces are hand made on a metal lathe. The end caps have sterling silver inserts. It uses a quality Mont Blanc cartridge which screws in (no spring to lose). Made from African Blackwood, brass, sterling silver.
Made from African Blackwood and aluminum, the pattern for this pen was inspired from a piece of cactus wood. The thin layer of African Blackwood is cut through the wood and into the underlying metal on an ornamental lathe. All metal parts are machined by hand (no kit parts other than the spring).
Inspiration for the "cactus pen" came from this piece of cholla cactus wood.
